& Mazy

Mazy
Little Miss Mazy - one of our
first adoptions as a newly formed group. Her and her bro, Mugsy,
landed themselves in the shelter somehow. She was shy and sweet,
and wasn't in great physical shape initially. We had already had
a pre-screened home that was looking, and although this was only
supposed to be a "foster", Mazy found her forever mom
Hana that very first day. Mazy as well lives with a little one,
a little guy under a year. Whoever said pits and kids don't go
together should read these bios! Mazy has also now converted her
grandmom, who says "this dog is lovely and she's a pit bull".
Mugsy
a.k.a. Chevy
Well
Mazy got picked up that very first day with a foster home, Mugsy
was left behind. We couldn't stand the thought of this little
guy being there all alone, so we pulled him too a few days later.
Very shortly after that, we were contacted by Ron, Evelyn and
their two children, as Ron a dedicated pit owner who had lost
his dog a few years ago, was finally ready to adopt another. Although
Mugsy was much smaller than their original dog, Ron was very excited
at the prospect of enjoying a dog's company again and even wore
his "pit bull" shirt the night Mugsy came to stay! Mugsy
spends his days running around their giant house, with a grandmother
who is always at his beck and call, and he has been seen around
town with the whole family attached to the other end of the leash.
Perhaps they will look for a second dog soon?
Chevy
UPDATE!
Chevy - good name for the smallest male puppy who grew into
the biggest dog we've ever placed in HugABull history so far!!
Honestly, if Chevy didn't have such distinctive markings, we would
have thought the Mani family switched dogs on us! Ironically the
owner said his last dog was a whopper, so there must be something
in the water at that house!! Mugsy now Chevy is all American Bulldog
- 120 pounds worth. There is no shortage of toys, love and attention
showered on the handsome bloke who once came from an unscrupulous
back yard breeder who abandoned him and his sister at a very young
age... things are definitely looking up for the big boy.
