Marly
Left to die in an abandoned apartment, and near starved to death, Marly found herself suddenly at a local shelter. Her social wiggles, relentless head butting kisses and super speed tongue left no doubt that this girl was for our program! All love on four legs, all the time. Plagued by a chronic ear infection left untreated for years, Marly faced total ear canal reconstruction and a long, arduous healing process that lasted over 2 months. Known for trashing her cones, it became a laughable joke when we had to march back into the vet clinic every week for a new one, as why should a cone get in the way of some serious joyous bushwhacking while out on adventures?!?!?!?! While she almost became a permanent resident to the co-director (and we might add only one of two dogs ever considered) and had to be literally pryed out of her hand, her true "destined to love her" person came through a reference of a volunteer. Marly now spends her days being adored and catered to by Sherri, and being adorned in all the latest fashions and "best of the best" dog stuff. Marley's pictures graces the co-directors desk to this day, and she frequently serves as a breed ambassador at our public events, and does lots and lots of good bullie media.
